An exceptional international experience depends on more than welcoming many nationalities. It means creating a carefully balanced community where no country dominates and every student has the opportunity to hear genuinely different perspectives.
Students learn together in lectures, seminars, practical challenges and campus life. They exchange perspectives and form friendships across cultures, creating a richer classroom, a more social campus and a genuinely global summer.

We carefully manage our nationality mix so no single country dominates, giving students the chance to make friends from around the world. In 2026, the USA was our largest group, making up just 8% of students.

What this looks like in class
One question. Many realities.
Imagine a Medicine seminar exploring access to healthcare. A future doctor from India might discuss the challenges of serving a vast and varied population. A student from Germany could bring experience of a different healthcare system, while a classmate from the United States offers another perspective.
They are studying the same subject, but each sees it through a different cultural lens. Comparing those realities leads to better questions, more thoughtful debate and a broader understanding than any single perspective could provide.

How we protect the nationality mix
Global diversity does not happen by accident.
We actively manage enrolments throughout the recruitment cycle so that the international promise students see before they enrol is reflected in the community they join.

Where demand from an individual country is particularly high, we limit enrolments. This protects places for students from a wider range of countries and prevents a single nationality from dominating.
