Today, humanity faces crucial questions: What is AI’s role in society? How do we deal with extreme weather? Should humans travel to Mars?
Our project-based approach combines Humanities, Arts, and STEM, giving students the tools to think critically about asking - and answering - questions that will define their generation. By investigating real-world challenges and collaborating on practical projects, they gain confidence presenting and critiquing big ideas.

From First Idea to Final Showcase
Our course makes learning fun and engaging by exploring a new topic each day. Our students come from all over the world, and to make the most of this diverse range of perspectives learning takes place through collaboration and group discussion in small classes.
Each day follows the same learning structure:

Begin the day by exploring a big question, sharing first ideas and discovering the challenge that lies ahead.

Immersive Discovery
Get involved in hands-on research, investigate different perspectives and put new knowledge into action through practical activities.

Mission Crews
Join a small team to investigate the day’s topic, solve problems together and develop an imaginative project.

Pioneer Summit
Bring the day to a close by sharing your discoveries, presenting your project and discussing ideas with the class.

Step away from the screen, head outdoors and recharge with energetic games, sports and activities alongside new friends.

The programme is designed for enthusiastic young learners who ask big questions and love getting stuck into real-world problem solving.
The course is designed to challenge curious students to reach their academic potential. It balances high standards of classroom learning with exciting and creative tasks to ensure learning remains inspiring and fun. Students are guided the whole way by our expert team of faculty and residential staff, and hard work is balanced with a varied and fun social programme.
A typical morning involves a lecture and two seminars or workshops. In the afternoon students have another extended workshop or practical session. The rest of the day is spent socialising with friends during activities, enjoying delicious meals in inspiring campus settings and exploring the campus facilities.
The programme takes place in the historic campus of Marlborough College in Wiltshire. The campus encompasses classrooms, labs, accommodation and plenty of green space. Students get a true taste of English boarding school life.
Our students come from all over the world. Since our first summer school in 2004, we have welcomed students from over 175 countries. They speak a wide range of languages but they all come to learn and practice their English creating a vibrant community perfect for international students.
Children’s wellbeing is our top priority. Students have 24-hour supervision by our friendly residential team, with qualified first raiders on campus at all times and access to professional medical support. We maintain a staff:student ratio of 1:6 and conduct regular pastoral check-ins, ensuring that we are attentive to students’ needs at any time. Each member of staff also undergoes rigorous safeguarding training, and our campus leaders are highly experienced, giving you peace of mind for your child’s wellbeing.
Class sizes are capped at 15. By teaching in small groups, we ensure that each student has a personalised relationship with their tutor. This means they receive high-quality constructive feedback and any support they need in class. It also means that students bond with their classmates, creating a friendly atmosphere in which students get involved and ask questions with confidence.
Yes. Students also enjoy two carefully planned full day excursions to exciting locations including London and Warwick Castle, giving them the chance to experience more of British culture and improve their language skills in novel ways.
