About St Peter's College
St Peter’s is one of the University of Oxford’s youngest colleges. It was founded in 1929 as an independent hostel for students with the aim of providing low-cost education. In 1961, St Peter’s became a full college of the University.
Due to its rich founding history, the College includes a mixture of traditional and modern buildings and architectural styles. The College has an intimate and friendly atmosphere, and in recent years has become admired in Oxford for its sporting success, especially in rowing.
Some well-known Peters alumni include Edward Akuto-Addo (former Prime Minister of Ghana), Simon Beaufoy (Oscar-winning writer of the screenplay for ‘Slumdog Millionaire’), and Carl Albert (former speaker of the United States House of Representatives).
St Peter’s is located right in Oxford’s city centre, on New Inn Hall Street.

Accommodation details
St Peter’s is one of the colleges in which our Oxford Summer School is hosted. Students stay in undergraduate single and twin bedrooms, and dine in the college dining hall. Bathrooms are shared between a few students. Male and female students are separated by corridors and/or staircases.
Campus Information
St Peter's College’s cosy campus with two quads, a beautiful dining hall, modern classrooms and plenty of space for socialising in the JCR and gardens.

Safety
The campus is closed and monitored by security 24/7. Security is overseen by a Programme Director. Student safety and wellbeing is supported by counsellors who manage operations and provide pastoral, cultural and social care day and night.
