From Academy Royale International to STEM Superstar
After attending Academy Royale International in 2016, studying Physics, Mathematics, and Academic Writing, Eleonora Svanberg returned to Sweden with newfound confidence, going on to intern at CERN, complete a Masters in Applied Mathematics at Cambridge, and found the non-profit Girls in STEM, now a nationwide organisation.
Today she's a published author and STEM influencer with 143k followers, pursuing a PhD in Theoretical Physics at Oxford's Magdalen College. "After my programme I felt like I could do anything," she says. Eleonora credits that first summer with giving her the courage to pursue every ambitious step that followed, including her return to Oxford.

Different ambitions, different paths
There is no single alumni story. From technology and engineering to entrepreneurship and research, former students have taken their interests in many different directions.
Thibaut Monfort-Micheo - Co-founder, Flex-Sea
After studying materials engineering at Imperial College London, Thibaut co-founded FlexSea, where he works on innovative packaging made from seaweed-based materials. His summer introduced him to a different style of learning and helped confirm that he wanted to study in the UK.
Usama Bin Shafqat - Software Engineer, Google
Usama remembers a summer filled with motivated classmates, new friendships and fresh perspectives from his teachers. He later studied Computer Science at Princeton University and went on to build a career in software engineering at Google.
Konstantinos Barmpas - Machine Learning Engineer, Cogitas
For Konstantinos, joining the Engineering programme was a first experience of student life abroad. He went on to complete both an MEng and a PhD at Imperial College London before beginning a career in machine learning.
Catarina Domingos - Business Consulting Analyst, Deloitte
Catarina joined the programme to discover what university life might feel like. The debates, interactive group projects and classes beyond her main subject encouraged her to think more broadly and confirmed that she wanted to study and work in an international environment.

Carolina’s story
From four rejections to four medical-school offers.
After studying with Academy Royale International, Carolina strengthened her academic skills, rebuilt her confidence and prepared to reapply to medical school. With continued support and interview practice, she secured offers from all four universities and chose the University of Manchester.
